She was G-L-O-W-I-N-G!

When you’re playing one of the most famous bikini-clad characters of all time, your skin has to look flawless. And when Margot Robbie stepped onto the red carpet at the Barbie world premiere in Los Angeles Sunday night, hers certainly did.

The actor turned heads in a stunning black sequin dress that showed off her toned shoulders, arms, legs and décolletage. Her skin looked smooth, supple, and gorgeous—Barbie all the way—and her makeup artist, Pati Dubroff, reveals to Women’s Health that the secret behind the look was a skin-perfecting spray you can snatch up for $48: Alleven Colour Shield. “I use a lighter shade on the inner arms and legs—places that are usually lighter in tone—and then a darker shade elsewhere to add more warmth and tone,” Dubroff says. “This way I can keep it looking the most natural.”

So, what is this miracle in a bottle? Alleven Colour Shield has been a pro makeup artist secret for years: It was developed by former model Celia Forner after years of searching for a transfer-proof body concealer that could be used year-round to perfect and refine skin. Colour Shield comes in seven flexible shades that feature tone-adapting and high-definition pixel precision pigments that reflect and refract light, resulting in an even, more luminous appearance to the skin.

“Every time I use the product, I’m amazing by the natural-looking finish,” Dubroff says. “Sometimes, I spray it directly onto skin, but my preferred application is to spray the formula onto a palette tray—or even a plate—and buff it onto skin using a large buffing brush.”

Dubroff is such a fan of the “flawless but not heavy” finish, she’s been using the product on Robbie for months as promotion for the film gears up. Barbiecore fashion is all about short hems and plunging necklines and Robbie’s Balmain leather minidress for the July 6 Barbie premiere in Mexico and Moschino skirt suit for a July 3rd press conference in Seoul, South Korea show plenty of skin. Colour Shield was the perfect complement to both looks, Dubroff says. “I use it whenever I need the skin on the body to look as flawless as the skin on the face.”

But the results are more than merely cosmetic. In addition, the immediate glow-enhancing effect, Colour Shield is infused with high-tech ingredients that can improve the look of skin over time too. Red algae and clay shield skin from environmental damage and mineral filters protect from visible light. At the same time, lipid plasmas calm irritation and redness and a sophisticated peptide stimulates DNA repair to renew your outer layer.

The next time you’re indulging in all of your Barbiecore fantasies, don’t forget to pickup a bottle of Alleven Colour Shield.

Alleven Colour Shield is available for $48 at alleven.com.
